Last night as I was leaving a bookstore, a friend of mine mentioned that she had friends on her facebook that she didn't talk to, but were just a collection of people she met throughout her life. I told her that she needed to clean out her life. Do some spring cleaning. Spring cleaning isn't just for your home or room it can also be done to your friends list. My motto is that if you won't say hi to them on the street then they don't need to be on your friends list. I do periodic cleaning every time I make a change in my life. When I leave a job, I get rid of the people that I no longer need to communicate with. If I leave a school, I drop the so-called friends who never show up anymore. So basically if they aren't adding any value to your life and you none to theirs, delete them. I don't have time to waste on people and neither should you.
